Roberta Marie Ripley

Roberta Marie Ripley was born November 16, 1930 in Mica, Washington and went on to be with her Lord and savior, on August 28, 2021 in Bellingham, WA.

She was preceded in death by her son, Steven Simmons; her stepsons, William Ripley Jr., Robert Ripley, and Louis Ripley and her daughter, Adria Van Boven.  Roberta is survived by her loving husband, William Ripley; son, Terry Simmons, daughter, Mariko Chervenock and stepson, Raymond Ripley. She has 12 grandchildren and 27great grandchildren.

Roberta was raised in Washington State, first in the Spokane area and then in Monroe, WA. She graduated from the Everett Business College and was a teacher’s aide in both Everett and Lynden schools for 8 years. She had a strong Christian faith and was very active in church where she would teach Sunday school from Kindergarten to Junior High. She also went on to graduate from The Word of Life Bible College and taught a nine week course on Spiritual Warfare at the bible college. Roberta has authored a book, “Scarlet Drops of Blood”. For over 15 years she held a bible study in her home. Roberta valued her family, understanding what a gift it is and extended the borders of her family to include many friends and neighbors over the years. 

A Celebration of Roberta life will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at Laurel Church, 162 West Laurel Road, Bellingham, WA 98226 at 11:00am with the graveside following at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248 at 2:00pm.
