Michael Elmer Smith, age 71, of Bellingham passed away Monday, September 28, 2026 in Bellingham. He was born March 4, 1955 in Bellingham to parents Roy and Elizabeth (Zender) Smith.

Michael is proceeded in death by his father; Roy Smith, and his mother; Mary Elizabeth Ousdale.

He was survived by, wife; Nancy Dixon, brother; Gary (Chrissy) Smith, sister; Karen (Jeff) Schriber, children; Amelia Brooke Smith, Brad Smith, Bryan Smith, stepchildren; Steven (Alicia) Dixon, Justin Dixon, Krista Dixon, grandchildren; Michael Evan Smith, Rhys Smith, Avery Smith, nieces; Nikki Jacoby, Trisha (Brad) Bannerman, Miranda Lockhart, nephew; William Lockhart.

A graveside service will be held at Saxon Cemetery, 1236 Bowman Road, Acme, WA 98220 on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 2:00pm with reception to follow at the Deming Log Show Museum, 3295 Cedarville Road, Bellingham, WA 98226 from 3:30 - 7:00pm.
