Lorrie Lechner-Inge passed away at home on October 20th,2026 with family by her side after a courageous 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Lorrie was born in Billings, Montana on Easter Sunday April 17th, 1960. Lorrie was a devoted wife to her husband John Inge, mother to her children Marcus (Yiying) Inge & daughter Victoria (Gavin) Snyder. Lorrie met her husband John in 1984 while working at “The Bon” she first noticed his husky baseball cap, they recently celebrated 39 years of marriage and cheering on their favorite sports teams together. Becoming “Grammy” to her three grandchildren Hudson Inge, Hayden Snyder & Romy Snyder, was one of her greatest joys and kept her going when treatment was tough. Lorrie was also know for her dedication to her job working at Macys since she was in her early 20s up until 2023 when she was forced to retire.
Lorrie is preceded in death by her Father Marcus Lechner, her mother Corrina Lechner and her brother Dan Lechner. She is survived by many family members in Whatcom County from the Inge side and even more family members on the Lechner side in Montana. Lorrie was loved by so many, she made friends wherever she went. This has always been evident but even more so in these last few years since receiving her diagnosis. Her friends and family rallied around her and helped to make these past three years joy filled despite the circumstances.
A celebration of life will be held at 2PM on January 8th, 2027 at First Baptist Church in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her go fund me account to help cover lingering medical bills.
