ANDREA (ANDI) MARIE AASHEIM WALLACE…
Was born Sunday, October 28 1951 and passed September 21 2020 at age 68. The first born of three children to Patricia & Lloyd Aasheim. She is survived by very special friend ELI THOMPSON, her sons NATHAN and AARON, Brother STEVE (Donna), Sister BRENDA, nephews JERED (Shannon) JUSTIN, and IAN, a niece CRYSTALLINE, along with numerous cousins.
Named after her grandmother ANDREA MARIE AASHEIM she lived her early years with the family’s nickname of “ANDI” In later years she returned to the more formal of ANDREA.
ANDREA started school at Birchwood Elementary then to Shuksan Junior High then to Bellingham High and finally a year at Western Washington State College. ANDREA was selective with her choice of friends. If she chose you as a friend she made that for life. School wasn’t always easy for ANDREA but her friends and her love of music helped her along. ANDREA started to play the Coronet in grade school and that was a perfect fit for Junior and High School Bands. ANDREA loved and lived for her time in the marching bands at Shuksan and Bellingham High School. ANDREAS Coronet practice at home didn’t make her very popular with her dog and family.
ANDREA, as the oldest, was called on to help out at home. While her parents worked outside the home ANDREA would help start dinner before her Mother would come home and save her. ANDREA then found employment at Sornberger’s and Taco Time. She moved on to St Luke’s hospital before landing what she considered her best fit at Whatcom Medical Bureau as an account representative. As her boys grew ANDREA opened a daycare to better care for her boys and share with other children. This was a perfect fit for ANDREA as she was really a kid at heart. This allowed ANDREA to enjoy her love of baking. ANDREA’S cinnamon rolls are still talked about at family gatherings. When her boys demanded less of her time at home ANDREA went back to school and found work as a checker at Albertson’s. ANDREA loved to visit with her customers even to her detriment. Store politics aside ANDREA moved to work at the Bellingham school district and then to Whatcom county. ANDREA’S body finally said enough and she retired home.
Constant through all of life was her unshakeable love for her Lord Jesus Christ. ANDREA loved the fellowship at church. Praising her God and singing . . . ANDREA loved to sing with her Father! Something we’re sure she’s doing now, in Heaven.
ANDREA had so many friends it’s hard to name all! ANDREA would want us to remember a few that she shared key moments with in her life: Paula Costanti Schuman, Pam Schacht and Beth Boyd. Eli Thompson, was the closest and he was with ANDREA as she passed into eternity.
