William "Bill" Joseph Perigo

William “Bill” Joseph Perigo passed away surrounded by his family on February 1st at the Whatcom Hospice House in Bellingham, Washington at age 67.  Bill was born on March 2, 1950 in Bellingham, Washington.  He graduated from Bellingham High School in 1969.  Shortly after graduating he served in Vietnam as member of the US Army.  Bill also served for 20 years in the Army National Guard.  He spent two decades working as a custodian at Western Washington University and Northwest Indian College. Bill enjoyed sailing on his boat with loved ones, spending time with his children and grandkids, working on projects around the house, and riding bikes and adventuring with Denise. 

Bill his survived by his wife Denise of Bellingham; sister Robin (Sonny), brother Jim (Cathy); children Katrina of Oakland, California, B.J. (Rochelle), and Nick; step-children Jeff  DeGolier (Holly) of New York, Todd DeGolier (Ryan), and Aimee Phair of Seattle; grandchildren Chris, J.J., Kleighton, Felix, Maeva, Hewit, and Millie; and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents William and Kitty Perigo of Bellingham, Chris Perigo of Coupeville, Washington, and Justin Head of Edgewater, Florida.

A celebration of life is scheduled for March 2nd at Boundary Bay Brewery’s Mountain Room.  It’s scheduled to start at 4:30 with a brief program at 6:00.  Please bring your fondest memories of Bill and your favorite dish (it’s potluck style).  There will be a no host bar with beer, wine, and cider.  Non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.  The family is looking forward to seeing everyone!
