Wendy Lee Elrod

Wendy Lee MacDonald Elrod was born August 24, 1946, Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada to Elmer and Nita MacDonald.  She passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Bellingham, WA. at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center.

Wendy and her mother moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1958 where she went to Sunrise Jr. High and Fort Lauderdale High School graduating in 1964. Wendy married Mike Elrod on January 17, 1967.

She and Mike moved to Bellingham, WA in 1991 where she began her Real Estate career at Douglas T. Gray, John L. Scott and over the last 10 years at Windermere Real Estate Birch Bay.  Wendy had a twinkle in her eye and made all people, professional and/or personal, feel like she had known them her entire life.  She is already greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to make her acquaintance.

Wendy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Michael Elrod; son, Brad Elrod (and Jean) from Rye, Colorado; one Grandson, Mike Elrod (Victoria) and two Great Grandsons, Trent and Lance. Wendy was preceded in death by her parents, Nita and Elmer, one older brother, Barry, and son, Chet Christian Elrod.

Heaven is a Happier Place with Wendy's loving, kind 'spirit'.  In time those still on our Earth’s Journey will be able to smile at their own warm memories with Wendy.  She could joke about politics and football and she always felt pride in her homeland heritage.  Her Angel Wings must be draped with a MacDonald Clan plaid tartan!  Wendy would wish peace and joy to all and will live on in many hearts, as to know her, was to know Love.
