Vivian Olive Barron

Vivian Olive Barron, age 82, of Bellingham passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2017 in Bellingham. She was born March 16, 1935 to parents Edwin and Esther “Cora” Carlson in Sisseton, South Dakota. Vivian graduated from Cleveland High School in Seattle with the class of 1953. She married the love of her life Dan Lee Barron on March 30, 1956 in Seattle.  They moved to Bellingham in 1972 where together they owned and operated Barron Heating in Bellingham for 26 years before retiring in 1998. Vivian’s special gift was making everyone who came in contact with her feel special and important.  Bottom line, she lived a life full of putting others ahead of herself. She was a devoted member of Northside Community Church, loved music, musical theatre and sports, especially baseball, and watching the Seattle Mariners. Most of all she took great pride in being a wife to her husband and mother to her four children. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Aileen (Kippy) Davis.  Vivian is survived by her husband of 61 years Dan; daughters, Valeri Odegaard and her husband Craig of Seattle, WA, Lisa Barron-Maushak of Bellingham and her husband Jim; sons, Orie Barron and his wife Susan of State College, PA and John Barron and his wife Beth of Bellingham, WA; 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Silas, Maria, Rachel, Annie, Brad, Tim and Daniel; 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.  Special thanks go to her in-home caregiver, Teresa Fisher, and the team of caregivers at Silverado Assisted Memory Care, where “angels on earth” do their work.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, 3:00 PM, at Northside Community Church, 950 Kline Rd., Bellingham, WA 98226. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Northwest Chapter, 192 Nickerson St., #100, Seattle, WA 98109.
