Vincent "Vince" Thomas Phelps

Vincent “Vince” Thomas Phelps was an incredibly kind person who, despite the struggles of life, always made friends wherever he went. He will be remembered for his early years in Blaine sports: football, baseball, golf, wrestling, basketball, the list goes on. He graduated Blaine High School in 2008 and maintained a strong love of Borderite sports.

He was preceded in death September 23, 2019 by his father, Bill Phelps. His family find a great deal of comfort in knowing they have found each other in Heaven. He is survived by mother Mary Kay, sister Shelby and brother in law Jensen, along with countless family, friends and trusted counselors.

Vince’s family would like to take a moment to thank the workers at the Lighthouse Mission and the Lake Whatcom Residential Treatment Center/Baker Creek Treatment Center. The care, love and respect you showed for our Vince will never be forgotten. Human life causes us all suffering, but you helped to ease Vince’s burden and gave him courage to carry on in the face of adversity. We are so thankful he met all of you on his journey.

A small, private celebration of life is being planned but we ask that anyone who remembers Vince take time to share their stories of him and celebrate his love and friendship.

Vince, we love you and we miss you. We are proud of you for maintaining your good humor and attitude in the face of illness. We will always be proud of you. We will always remember you.
