Sussie Mable Reimer

Sussie Mable Reimer, age 87, of Ferndale was born to Gearhardt and Tiena (Quiring) Dyck Dec. 13, 1925 in Great Deer, Saskatchewan, Canada. A few years later moved to Dalhart, Texas and in those hard years ( Dirty 30’s as they were called) my father passed away suddenly from a ruptured appendix, leaving my mother with 4 children and I on the way. Then we moved to Oklahoma where we struggled to keep alive with so little to eat. Although we as children didn’t realize what our mother had to go thru. So in 1937 we moved to Orland, CA. In 1942 at 17, I excepted the Lord as my Personal Savior and was baptized. A year or so later we moved to Dinuba, CA and in 1946 Abe and I were married. Since he was from Ferndale, WA he moved me there and I’ve been very grateful to him for doing this. To us were born 6 children; Eileen, Charlotte, Robert, (twins) Debbie and Delores and Peggy; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and I love them all. Abe my husband preceded me in death in August 31, 1989 and we had a good marriage. We had our up’s and down’s, but we worked hard on farms to keep things going. Our life together was 1 month lacking of 43 years. A viewing will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, from 12 noon to 4:00 PM, at Sig’s Alternative Funeral & Cremation Services, 809 W. Orchard Drive, Suite 5, Bellingham, WA 98225. A Funeral Service will be conducted 11:00 AM, Friday, March 1, 2013 at Birch Bay Bible Community Church, 4460 Bay Road, Blaine, WA 98230, with Pastor Tim Thiessen, officiating. Burial will follow at Enterprise Cemetery, Ferndale, WA.
