Robert Thacher Campbell II.

Robert Thacher Campbell, II, age 75, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at his home in Bellingham, WA. Bob was born and raised in the Kansas City, MO, area. He graduated Platte City High School with the Class of 1965, where he played football. He attended Grinnell College in Iowa before graduating from the University of Missouri at Columbia. Bob served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Germany. Bob had a career in Broadcast News, as a reporter and anchor at KOMU in Columbia and as news director at WTHR in Indianapolis. He became a Realtor when he moved to Bellingham. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Renate Campbell of Bellingham, and his brother Scott Campbell of Kansas City.  He is survived by stepdaughter, Katherine Olsen; two brothers, both of Kansas City, MO, Matthew Campbell and Clay Campbell (Kesmen). Private family services will be held.
