Robert Stanley Bray, Sr.

Robert Stanley Bray, Sr. passed away with class and honor on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born December 8, 1925 in Port Angeles, WA to Robert and Iris Bray. He spent his childhood days on the Olympic Peninsula until he enlisted with the US Navy as an Aviation Radioman 3rd Class. He met his bride of 67 years when he moved to Bellingham after WWII.  Bob committed his life to Jesus and reflected his Savior to all who knew him. He was a member of Geneva and Northlake Church for many years. His pleasant whistle and smile greeted many as he delivered milk from house to house for 20 years. He continued his career as a Whatcom Co. Assessor for 15 more years. He cherished his sweet wife, was a faithful father to his family and he loved his friends. He is survived by his wife Louise, sister Sally Jo Swanson (Ron), children Bob (Martha), Michelle Dahl (Norm), Mike (Robin), his 8 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.  Bob loved to fish and attend all of his family's sports events. He was the biggest fan to his children and grandchildren and was never afraid of letting an umpire know of a bad call. The legacy and the joy and the love he brought to everyone will be tucked away in our hearts and remembered always. A memorial service will be held at Northlake Community Church on Monday, October 17th at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to either Resonate Church @CWU (resonate.net) or Northlake Community Church.
