Pearl May Zender, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2026 at the age of 91.She was born in Wemby, Alberta, Canada on May 22, 1934, to Algert and Reta Deering. She was the oldest of her family with siblings, Marie and Jerry. Pearl graduated from Oxon Hill in Maryland in 1952. Then went on and received her Dental Hygienist Degree at West Liberty State College in Virginia in 1954.
Shortly after she met the love of her life, Nick Zender. They were married 1955 and were blessed with six kids, Greg (Diana), Jeff, Terri (Marty), Brad (Holle) Scott and Laurie, 11 grandchildren, settling in Kendal (Zenderville) next to St. Peter’s Catholic Church and all of relatives.
Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, Grandmother. She served her lifetime with helping her family, church, bookkeeping for ZBW business and president of Food Hills Food Bank.
She created a beautiful home and fun place for kids with amazing cookies. (world famous chocolate chip) such a great cook. Her place surrounded by her passion of gardening and the love of animals.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother Jerry and our sister Laurie. Pearl is survived by her Marie and her children, 16 great grandchildren, 11 grandkids.
