Patti Walton

Patti Walton, age78, of Bellingham was born August 13 ,1935 in Tacoma, Washington. Where she lived with her parents and later joined by a sister, Linda and brother Jerry. In 1953 she graduated from Gresham High School. Patti attended Multnomah School of the Bible where she met Tom, they were married June 22, 1957. They settled in Bellingham, Washington where they served on the Staff at The Firs until their retirement. Patti is preceded in death by her parents Dalton and Anita Rasumessen and her infant daughter, Lois Anita. She is survived by her loving husband Nathan Thomas Walton; son, Mark Walton and his wife Jeni; daughter, Anne and her husband Garry Davis; daughter, Jill and her husband Jack Walker and son Craig Walton and his wife, Catherine; sister, Linda and her husband Frank Muench and brother Jerry Rasmussen and his wife Marilyn and their families; Her grandchildren: Brad & Taylor Walton, Zach, Tyler and DonnaJoy Davis, Justin, Maria, Brandon and Joseph Irwin, Jessie, Megan, Cole, Noah and Gracie Walton. Her Great grandchildren Cooper, Carson and Cayden Walton, Keylee and Dustin Davis and Levi and Desmund Irwin. Patti was an amazing, beautiful Woman of God and was loved by all. She loved to sing and share that gift with others even if it was in the middle of a store singing to the overhead music much to our distress if we happened to be with her! Every day early in the morning Patti began her day in time with her Lord and Savior in prayer and the Word. She wrote in her journal and in the margins of her “Streams In The Desert” Devotional made notes of her prayers, hopes, dreams, struggles and family events. Patti spent countless hours making beautiful cards for family, friends and acquaintances with her own personal sentiments of joy, love, encouragement and comfort. This brought her great joy and blessing to many. For all who received those cards they will be a treasured memory. Patti was also an avid Mariners and Seahawk fan, loved to shoe shop, garden and take RV trips to Arizona with her husband Tom, their dog Buddy and friends to go to spring training. She had an ongoing date with her sister Linda to watch “Dancing With The Stars” every week. Now she is the star dancing! Patti loved to organize family gatherings and was forever the peacemaker. Patti was devoted to her wonderful husband, children, grand and great grandchildren, family and friends. Her life was dedicated first to her Lord and Savior and then to all those He placed in her path. Her love for Jesus, life and others will live on in all of us and as her family it is our prayer that we can carry on her legacy of love and compassion and make her proud

A celebration of her life will be held Monday, December 2, 2013, 2:00 PM, Hillcrest Chapel, 1400 Larrabee AV, Bellingham, WA 98225.
