Oddny Jona Greguski

Oddny J Greguski, age 86 of Ferndale, WA passed away peacefully with her family at her side at Hospice House in Bellingham on October 27, 2013. She was born on December 13, 1926 and lived in Hafnarfjordur Iceland until she met and married the love of her life, her husband of 63 years, Felix (Phil) Greguski. They moved to Oyster Bay, Long Island NY and together raised 5 devoted children, Rosemary (Greg) Gehring, Lorraine (Dan) Hanson, Kristin (Jeff) Creasey, John (Patrice) Greguski, and Larry (Victoria) Greguski. Oddny was a loving wife and mother who adored her 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

As a very talented artist, Oddny loved sewing clothes for the family, filling the walls of their house with her beautiful acrylic and oil paintings, knitting, crocheting and embroidering. Up until the time that her eyesight diminished she spent her days quilting beautiful memories for everyone in the family. Her hands were never idle!

Mom, Amma , you will be dearly missed, but we take comfort in the fact that you are back with your friends and family in your beloved motherland, busy as usual and creating more beauty up above.
