Mary Ann DeVries

Mary Ann  DeVries, age 81, of Ferndale went to be with her Heavenly Father Wednesday, January 27, 2020, in Ferndale. She was born Dec. 10, 1939 in Edgerton, Minnesota, to parents Dick and Minnie (Veenhoff) TenKley.  Mary Ann married her life-long sweetheart, Lloyd DeVries on April 17,1957 in Lynden.  She was a homemaker who raised 3 children, while helping with the family farm.  MaryAnn enjoyed her family, reading, decorating her home, and volunteering at St. Joseph’s Hospital.  She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Kellogg, and her husband Lloyd DeVries; and is survived by daughter, Tammy LaPlante (Don); son, Brian DeVries; grandchildren, Donnie LaPlante (Meredith), Jeremy DeVries (Mikayla), Victor Kellogg, Cory LaPlante (Denise), Chris DeVries, Tiffany Kellogg, Lindsey Alarcon (Colby), Stacy LaPlante and Tara Berwick; 8 great grandchildren; siblings, Judy Howell, Ellen Matter, Gerald TenKley (Divina), Linda Wiebush (Jack), Bonnie Miller (Larry), Donald TenKley (Joan) and numerous other relatives.
