Marlene Elaine (Lefler) Lee

Marlene Elaine (Lefler) Lee, age 83 of Ferndale, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2018. She was born August 20, 1935 in Bellingham, WA to Dallas and Dorothy (Cruikshank) Lefler. She was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. Marlene enjoyed fun times with her friends & family who she loved dearly. Her passions over the years included camping, gardening, knitting, golfing, horses & fast cars! In her younger years Marlene spent many hours in roller skating competitions and at one point lived in the historic Armory building. She was a true ‘Southsider’ and worked at Win’s Drive-In in the 60’s and later at Cal’s Tavern. She spent many years working at PAF Cannery and was the secretary of ILWU (International Longshore and Warehouse Union) Local 15. Marlene was married to Robert J Briscoe Sr for 30 years and later married Thomas R Lee. Marlene was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Thomas R Lee. She is survived by her son, Bob (Carol) Briscoe, their sons Jonathan and Eric; daughter, Barb Davison and her children, Ryan and Kim; step-son Jeff (Lisa) Lee and their children Sheena, Ashley, Jason and Gracie, step-son Greg (Patrick) Lee, numerous great grandchildren and her special 4 legged companion Missy. An open house celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb 2, 2019, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM at the Squalicum Boathouse at Zuanich Point Park.
