Marilyn Mae Timmer, age 79, of Ferndale went to be with her Heavenly Father at her home Thursday, June 20, 2024 after living with ALS the past 3.5 years with a warrior spirit. She was born February 11, 1945 in Bellingham, Washington. Marilyn graduated from Mt Baker High School in Deming with the Class of 1963. She and the love of her life Dennis married on April 14, 1965. Marilyn and Dennis started their married life in Anaheim, California, where they lived for 13 years before moving to Yakima, Washington in 1978. In 2000, they moved back to Whatcom County. She is survived by her Husband Dennis; her Son Craig and Ann Timmer; Daughters Renee and Jim McAdams, Charlene Edson and John Hodgson and Lynnette and Paul Randerson; 14 grandkids and 2 great grandkids. She is also survived by Brother Leroy, Sister Marjorie and Robert Murray-Cortez, Sister Arlene Walker, Brother Larry and Sue Murray, Brother Bob and Robin Murray, Brother Jim Murray, Brothers-in-law Ed and Grace Timmer and Darrel and Karen Timmer. Marilyn loved people especially here grandchildren! She loved the outdoors, the beach, gardening, and traveling. A gifted Photographer and Elementary Teacher! She had so much fun with her friends, playing cards, bible studies and loved sunsets! A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale followed by a 1:00 PM Celebration of Life held at Calvary Chapel Northwest, 6015 Guide Meridian Road, Bellingham, WA 98226, with Pastor Tom Blumberg officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marilyn’s honor can be made to the Light House Mission Ministry TheLighthouseMission.org
