Louise Kirk Bray

Louise Clifton Kirk Bray passed away with grace and peace on December 29.  She was born September 28, 1928 in Bellingham, WA to James and Christina Kirk.  Her family immigrated from England and Scotland to Vancouver, Canada.  Louise, however, was the first in the family to be born in the United States.  As a 1946 graduate of Bellingham High School, she was involved as a drill team majorette and member of the pep club.  Her first job was with the Whatcom County Courthouse.  Not long after, a man named Bob was captivated by her eyes and beautiful smile. They were married in 1949.  Louise committed her life to Jesus and was mentored by Ruth Whipple through The Firs Bible studies and Bible Study Fellowship.  She was also a member of Geneva and Northlake Church for over 60 years.  Throughout her life she supported Young Life, Youth Dynamics, and many church missionaries through faithful prayers and giving.  She was also obedient to God’s call when there was an opportunity for her to share the gospel with others.  For 25 years, she kept herself busy by keeping the books for their business, Dairy Distributing. Louise continued with her career working for All About Travel.  Louise was a perfect example of how a wife and mother should love her husband and children.  She never missed a moment to listen, laugh, and love.  She was mother to Bob (Martha), Michelle (Norm Dahl), and Mike (Robin), grandmother of 6, and great-grandmother of 5.  She will always be remembered for her charming home, classy clothes, and especially, how she loved her family.  In lieu of flowers, please direct your gifts to:  The Firs – thefirs.org or Resonate Church (Ellensburg) – giving@resonate.net
