Lisa Marie Salazar

Lisa Marie Salazar, age 50, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She died peacefully surrounded by family and friends at the Whatcom Hospice House.  Lisa was born on May 2, 1967 in Bellingham, Washington.  She graduated from Nooksack Valley High School and Bellingham Beauty School.  Lisa was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She worked at Industrial Credit Union for 20 years.  To know Lisa was to love her.  Lisa’s primary focus has always been her loving daughter Brittney, son-in-law Tyson and 3 grand babies, Maliyah, Andre and Ollie.  Lisa was preceded in death by her loving mother, Jenifer Salazar and Uncle Steve Rasmussen and grandparents, August and Florence Rasmussen, who we all know was waiting for her with open arms.  Lisa is survived by her daughter, Brittney Warner  (Tyson); grandchildren, Maliyah, Andre, Ollie; sisters, Lori Blankenship (Travis), Dori Lukes; nieces, Erica Lukes, Abbie Blankenship, Ellie Lukes, Mia Blankenship; nephews, Taylor Blankenship, Trent Lukes. The family would like to give a special thank you to Ricci Smith (Matt), the ICU family for all their love and help and support throughout Lisa’s battle with cancer.  You all have been truly amazing throughout this entire process. A private family service will be held.
