Larry Lee Vander Griend

Larry Lee Vander Griend, age 53, of Lynden, passed away suddenly on Friday, October 7, 2016. Larry was born in Bellingham, Washington on October 3, 1963, to Gerrit and Sylvia Vander Griend.  He graduated from Lynden Christian High School in 1982 and was a life-long resident of Lynden.  Larry worked for several years in the security field and most recently also served as a care-giver for his mother. Larry loved the outdoors.  He fulfilled a life-long dream when he built his own house. Larry was preceded in death by his father, Gerrit Vander Griend.  He is survived by his beloved mother, Sylvia Vander Griend, sisters Cheryl (Jim) VanderMey, Rhonda Axelson, Cindy Larson, Brother Loren (Janice) Vander Griend and long-time friend, Kevin Smith.  Celebration of Life  will be held at Sonlight Community Church, Saturday, October 22, 2016, 2:00 PM.
