Kyle Wayne Thompson

Kyle Wayne Thompson was born October 9, 1986. He left this world on August 2, 2017 and is now in the loving arms of his Heavenly Father. Kyle's gentle spirit, sensitive introspective character, wonderful sense of humor and big heart for his family and friends were evident from the start. He was very close with his sisters and parents and loved them fiercely. He was also a loyal and loving friend. Kyle loved the outdoors and being physically active. He enjoyed playing many sports but he was most passionate about soccer. Kyle joined his first soccer team at the age of seven and continued playing thru adulthood. He also loved hiking, running, biking, and snowboarding. Kyle showed his creativity thru his artwork, music, drama teams, and videography. He played drums, piano, and guitar. Kyle also wrote his own music, and performed at many open mic events. He played drums for worship teams and performed with the band Desperation Company. Kyle's amazing artwork has been displayed at many art studios and is hanging in people's homes who were fortunate to receive or purchase his paintings. Some of Kyle's aaccomplishments include graduating from WCC with an AA in media arts and graphic design and serving on student council at WCC as a financial/budget planner. He was employed by Camp Firwood for 4 years as a Skate Director, Videographer, Worship Team member, and Drama Team member. Kyle was also a world traveler. He took a trip to Ireland with friends and a mission trip with YWAM and DTS to Australia and Peru. He spent the past two years in Hawaii farming the land and learning how to live sustainably. His experiences there allowed him to gain knowledge that he put to good use cultivating fruits and vegetables, and growing the beautiful flowers and vegetation that he loved to photograph and paint. We are all going to miss Kyle for the joy and love that he brought to everyone who have been blessed to know and love him. Our memories of who he was to us will see us through until we embrace him again in heaven one day.   He is forever in our hearts.
