Kimberly Renee' Anderson

Kimberley Reneé Anderson passed away suddenly at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bellingham, Washington, on the evening of August 6th. She was 63 years old. Kim was a lifelong caretaker, which began in her childhood caring for animals of all kinds. She carried this with her into her adult life as a mother to her sons, Jerrod and Nick, and to hundreds of patients as a nurse in Missouri and Louisiana. Her patients were incredibly lucky to have her as a dedicated healthcare worker. After safely evacuating, she came back into New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina devastated the area to provide medical attention to those in need.

She met her husband Roger Anderson on a Caribbean cruise. They quickly hit it off and after a long distance relationship, she decided to make the jump and visit Roger in Sumas, Washington. She deeply loved Roger and moved herself and Nick to Whatcom County. Her work as a caretaker didn’t end when her nursing career did; she continued to be active in community service with her church.

Kim is survived by her husband, Roger; her two sons, Jerrod (JP) and Nick; her granddaughters Madison and Laurel; her great-grandson Dominic; and her brothers Tim and Derrick. She will be interred in Seymore, Missouri.
