Kay June Ezell

June 30, 1942 — March 12, 2021

Kay June Ezell

Kay June (Vander Pol) Ezell was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world peacefully Frinday, March 12, 20221after a 40-year long battle with MS at the age of 78. Born to Harry and Lydia (Libolt) VanderPol in Dupree, South Dakota, she moved to Lynden, Washington at the age of 4. In 1960 she graduated from Lynden Christian High School and married her husband of 59 years, Eddie, in 1961. She was a lifelong member of Third CRC in Lynden. Her greatest joy was raising her three children and teaching them to follow the Lord. Her strong faith in God’s promises for her life sustained her through many struggles. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Lydia VanderPol; sister Arlys Abrahamse; and son Mike Ezell. She is survived by her husband Eddie Ezell; children Deb (Tracy) DeVries and Kent (Reba) Ezell; grandchildren Anna and Joe (Nina) Ezell, Sam, Luke and Zac DeVries, and Carolyn and Josh Ezell; and siblings Gale (Lonnie) VanderPol and Judy (Darryl) VanderHaak. Kay is also survived by many dedicated and lifelong friends. 

A memorial service in celebration of Kay’s life will take place at 11:00 am on June 7, 2021 at Third CRC. A private family graveside service was held at Greenwood Cemetery, Lynden, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lynden Christian Health Care Center.
