Kathy Maureen Duffey

My name is Kathy Maureen Duffey, I was born in Ukiah, California. My folks Claudia & Patrick Duffey moved our family to Bellingham when I was 10 years old. Kathy attended Harmony Elementary School. Fairhaven Middle School, then Sehome High School for freshman year, went to Bellingham High School for her sophomore year and then dropped out at the age of 16 to have her son. Kathy worked her whole life doing many jobs that she loved, her favorite was being a caregiver and helping others. At the age of 24 she had her daughter, Trina Brianne Anderson, the Lord blessed her with two wonderful humans. Kathy’s son, Boyd gave her Ciara Riley who she never go to know and her heart hurt for that. Kathy was able to have a beautiful relationship with his other two daughters, Isabella Duffey and Serinity Duffey.  Kathy’s daughter, Trina Anderson, blessed her with Pattin Anderson. Kathy loved being a Grandma, those girls were her world. Kathy has many friends and family that were so loving to her life and in her last days. Kathy would like to say thank you to all. She will really miss everyone. Kathy doesn't want her Grandkids to forget her. She will always be watching over them. Kathy had a good life and is really going to miss her kids. In Kathy’s word, “I love you forever, Boyd Duffey and Trina Anderson. I hope you have wonderful lives, healthy and happy. I’m sorry I got this cancer and made my life shorter. If I could do all over again, I would have lived a healthier lifestyle. I really wanted to watch my family grow. I will be watching them from Heaven now. I will be with my brother Joe Duffey, my Grandpa John Gabbert, Pat & Claudia, my parents, my Aunties and so many more people that have passed. My body will be gone but the love I have in my heart will never die, you all mean so much to me. I can say I’m very proud of nieces & nephews all three of them have really showed me the meaning of family. I love you Brandy, Billy, and Bobby. Taking time to remember everyone is a lot when you’re going through chemo, my brain doesn’t work so great any longer.   Trine, Paitin, Bella Ren, you girls were my world.  I loved spending time with You.  I’ll be watching you all from Heaven, I know you’ll all have a wonderful life.  I’m so sorry I can’t share it with you any longer.  I will be safe from all that will harm me, it’s been a crazy journey for me and stops here but for you all go and live your lives: happy, peaceful and be as healthy as possible.  Treat your body well…#CANCERSUCKS.”
