Joyce Adrian Caughell

Joyce Adrian Caughell, age 86, ended a hard fight, peacefully at Whatcom Hospice House Saturday, July 8, 2023.  She is now in her final resting place with her God. Joyce married her high school sweetheart Ken Caughell and had 57 wonderful years of memories.

Later they were blessed with 2 boys Brad and Mike.  Along with their own boys, Joyce and Ken always had lots of kids around.  Never having girls they had three handpicked daughters that they considered their own. Later came a very special granddaughter and 2 great grandchildren that gave her so much joy.  After retiring they spent many fun years in Arizona wintering.

Joyce was a strong women right until the end.  Joyce loved to cook, kept an immaculate house and always found time to be a fashion statement.  Looking forward to her shopping trips to her favorite store Nordstrom’s.

On her final days she maintained a wonderful smile and worried about how her hair looked can’t imagine that!

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Ken Caughell, son’s Brad and Mike Caughell.  She is survived by sister-in-law Claudette Caughell; very special niece and nephew Rob and Lisa Caughell; heart daughters Val Kalma (Jake), Michelle Komen (Dave) and Jan Longstan (Gary); granddaughter Nicki Fischlin; great grandchildren Royce and Rakaia Fischlin.  We have all been extremely blessed by her. At Joyce’s request there are no services.  Thanks to everyone that helped us through this difficult time.
