Joseph Michael Holdridge

Joe Holdridge, age 56, departed this world for heaven on June 11th after an 11 month battle of Glioblastoma brain cancer. Joe was born on April 1st, 1960 and grew up in Southern California where he enjoyed surfing, graduated from Tristan High School & played baseball as pitcher at Saddleback Community College.

Golf was Joe's passion & he loved to help people learn the game so he made a career out of it, working at Pebble Beach, Del Monte, & Spyglass Hill courses in California. After moving his family to Washington, he worked at Shuksan, Sudden Valley, and Lake Padden courses. He then ventured to open Joe's Professional Golf Lab with his close friend, Al Koch. He loved giving lessons, league nights & running the Birch Bay Village Course.

Joe also enjoyed playing guitar, watching sports & spending time with his family & friends. His favorite pastime was to golf with his 2 sons Will & Spencer. Joe was a loving husband,son, brother, "Pop", bonus-Dad & friend and will forever be in our hearts.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Tom Holdridge of CA. 

He is survived by his amazing Mother, Ann Auer of Idaho, brothers Tom Holdridge (Joanne) of Idaho, Bill (Sheri) Holdridge of CA, Mike Holdridge of CA, sister Mary Mechling of Florida, sons William Holdridge of Seattle & Spencer Holdridge of Bellingham, Wife Lesley Holdridge & bonus-children Emma Deubler, Addie Deubler & Jonah Deubler, Father & Mother-in-law Gary & Nadine Bocek, sister-in-law Lana (Steen) Willand, sister-in-law Leanne (Jerry) Steinbach, brother-in-law Gary (Stacy) Bocek, brother-in-law Karl (Lea) Bocek, numerous nieces & nephews, and many friends.

We will be having a celebration of Joe's life at 1PM on Thursday, June 16th at Christ the King Bellingham located at 4173 Meridian St. In Lieu of flowers you may make donations to Whatcom Hospice House or donate to the Joseph Holdridge Memorial Fund at any WECU branch to assist the family with medical and funeral expenses.

Joe's family would like to thank Dr. Rubin & all Peacehealth Cancer Center staff, Ivy Center for Advanced Brain Tumor Treatment at Swedish Hospital, the Caregivers of Brain Cancer Support Group, the Hospice House and staff, and our many family & friends for their amazing support through this journey.
