Bellingham

John "David" Pakusich, born in Bellingham on February 28, 1936, died peacefully at home on December 16, 2022. He was raised by his "Uncle Pete" Pakusich in South Side, now Fairhaven. One of his prize possessions was his metal 50-year-old Fairhaven library card. He first got his library card when he could barely reach the counter. He was a voracious reader.

David graduated from Western State University. He spent his entire career teaching in Sedro Wooley. where he retired after 30 years of service. David met his wife Reynola, who also taught at Sedro Wooley. They were married in June of 1964. David was an avid bird hunter and fisherman. He survived many of his bird dogs/ house dogs. He spent many hours hunting and fishing with Reynola and friends. He is survived by his wife Reynola and numerous friends.

Reynola would like to thank the many neighbors and friends who have supported her and David over the past few years. She also wants to thank the staff of Brightstar Care who so lovingly cared for David in his last weeks. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.sigsfuneralservices.com. Memorials may be made to Bellingham Fire Department District 2 or the Bellingham Library.
