John Franklin Meixner

John F. Meixner of Bellingham died January 31, 2018.  At his request no service will be held.  He was born in Bellingham, October 15, 1923 to George and Effie (Johnston) Meixner.  A veteran of World War II he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Conyngham DD371 in the Southwest Pacific.  He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy, whom he married January 2, 1947 and his son George.  Survivors include his son, Tom Meixner, of Everson, daughters Mary Williamson of Bellingham, and Pauline Zender of Custer, five grandsons, one granddaughter, and nine great grandchildren.
