Jerry Wolcott, age 58, of Ferndale, Washington passed away Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at his home. He was born July 21, 1954 to Ernest and Elda (Kipskin) Wolcott and was raised in Seattle and on San Juan Island. He graduated from San Juan Island High School. Jerry is survived by his wife Carol Wolcott of 16 years and three grown step children Kari, Anna and Jerrod; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles. Jerry was an accomplished musician; he played various instruments but focused on the sax and keyboards. He produced three CD’s of his own, and was also known as Jade Wailer. Jerry was a valued soundman, had a recording studio, Dj’d for various events, and played the sax and keyboard at local blues jams. Jerry was a diesel mechanic and worked for the City of Bellingham, WTA, Bellair Charters, and Northwest Auto.

A memorial will be held Saturday July 27, 2013, 1:00 PM at the Sons of Norway Hall, 1419 N Forest St. in Bellingham. A blues jam session will be held in Jerry’s honor Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Wild Buffalo, 208 Holly St. in Bellingham from 6:30 - 9:30 PM.
