Jeffrey Lee Goode, 54, of Blaine, Washington, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on August 28, 2025. He was born on April 19, 1971, in Granite City, Illinois to Duane and Mary Goode.
Jeff dedicated much of his life to hard work and service. He was an operator at Phillips 66 Oil Refinery, where he took great pride in his work. Prior to that, he worked with Western Refinery Services (WRS) at Phillips 66. Jeff also gave back to his community as a volunteer with the Whatcom County Fire Department District 8 at Marietta.
Outside of work, Jeff loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing locally and especially cherished his trips north to Port Hardy. Hunting was another of his passions, and he treasured the time spent on hunting trips with friends and family. Jeff also found joy in woodworking, creating pieces for friends and family.
Above all, Jeff’s greatest joy was his family. He was a wonderful and supportive father and proud grandfather. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren—whether it was watching Ethan play sports, sharing laughter with Hazel, or simply being present with them.
He is survived by his daughter Mikaela (Duane) Alex, and grandchildren Ethan and Hazel. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Goode; his siblings, Alan (Kelly) Goode, Jonathan (Amy) Goode, and Grace (Clint) Tabor; as well as many nieces and nephews who will remember his warmth, humor, and love.
He was preceded in death by his father, Duane Goode, and his niece, Chelsey Ebert.
Jeff will be remembered for his kind spirit, strong work ethic, love of the outdoors, and devotion to his family and community. He was a fun and loyal friend to everyone and always such a joy to be around. His smile and laugh were infectious, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of Jeff’s life will be held at Christ the King Church in Bellingham on Monday, October 6, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. Friends and loved ones are invited to attend and share in honoring his life.
