Janet Faye Eggert

Janet Faye Eggert, aged 74, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 1, 2023, in Bellingham, Washington, USA after a sudden and brief battle with cancer. She was born on February 17, 1949, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She will be remembered for the love and joy she brought to all who knew her. 

Janet's warm spirit, strength of character, and ability to effortlessly bring happiness and comfort to others, made everyone she met feel special. Her world was adorned with simple pleasures, and she had an uncanny ability to find delight in the most basic of things. Her infectious laughter and radiant smile were matched only by her big heart, full of generosity and care for others. 

Janet is survived by her sons, Clayton and Daryl (Laurie), and her cherished grandchildren, Dryden and Eva. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Walt, who passed away in 2020. Janet was immensely proud of her family, whom she loved unconditionally and found great joy in spending time with.  

She will also be fondly remembered by the Eggert family, whose kinship brought her meaning and happiness. Janet thought of the children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren as her own, occupying a large place in her heart.  

Outside of her family, Janet leaves behind many dear friends, including her long-time sidekicks Jan, Val, and Mary, as well as new-found friend Pat. The history they shared, the adventures they embarked on, the memories they created, and the laughs they had together over the years meant the world to her.  

A graveside visit will be held at Greenacres Memorial Park (Lupine Garden in Stillwaters area) at 12:00 noon on Sunday, October 8th, followed by a Celebration of Life at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Post 7 in Bellingham.
