James Martin Williams

James M. Williams, age 88, of Deming passed Tuesday, October 8, 2013 in Bellingham. James was born April 16, 1925 in Watts, California to James and Allie (Horton) Williams. He married his wife, Barbara Sadler, July 22, 1946 in Long Beach, California.

James was employed as an Iron Worker and Industrial Carpenter.

They moved their family to Deming, Washington in 1969. James enjoyed riding motorcycles, taking drives, and the beach at Birch Bay. He was very handy and could build or fix just about anything.

James was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather Clarence Cranford, sister, Rosie (Huckabee) Cranford, and his three brothers, Fred, John and Ron Cranford.

He is survived by his wife Barbara of 67 years; son, Tony (Kendra) Williams; daughter, Kathy (Doug) Vetter; grandchildren, Jeremiah Williams, Nathanael Williams and Zachary Vetter, as well as three great grandchildren, Jericho Williams, Jaelynn Williams and Jeremiah Bowlden.

A memorial services will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, 2:00 PM, Rome Community Bible Church, 2720 Mt. Baker Highway, Bellingham, WA 98226.
