James Dean Rupke, age 67 of Deming, was born on October 3, 1956 in Bellingham, WA. He passed away on November 12, 2023, in Bellingham. James was born to Kenneth and Beverly (VanLeeuwen) Rupke. He attended Nooksack High School. He was a lifelong resident of Whatcom County. James rode his bike all over Whatcom County. He loved to pick up pop cans for extra money or do sides jobs for people. James loved to fish and was a very hard worker. He really enjoyed going to church at Christ the King Bellingham and was baptized on April 24, 2023. James loved God, family and friends. James is preceded in death by: his mother Beverly and brother Kenny Rupke. James is survived by: his father, Kenneth (Inge) Rupke, sisters, Janice (Ken) Faber, Dawn (Aldon) Aulenbacher and niece, Jamie (Brandon) Davolt. He is also survived by his nephews, Gary (Leora) Dyck, Tim (Carrilee) Dyck and niece, Laurie (Anthony) Morgan. A Celebration of Life will be held at Christ the King Church, 4173 Meridian Street, Bellingham, WA 98226 at 11:00am on Wedesday, December 6, 2023 with a graveside service following at Greenwood Cemetery, 605 East Wiser Lake Road, Lynden, WA 98264. After the graveside service there will be a reception at the Deming Logging Show Museum, 3295 Cedarville Road, Bellingham, WA 98226. All are welcome to attend and honor James.
