James U.S. Briscoe, age 74, passed away on March 11, 2024. A lifetime resident of Whatcom County, Jim was born on December 30, 1949 in Bellingham to U.S. and Gertrude (Kroll) Briscoe. Jim was in the first graduating class of Sehome High School in 1968. He was then lucky enough to spend his life doing what he loved most, fishing commercially in the Puget Sound and South East Alaska on his fishing vessels Sunlight and Nancy Rose. Jim was preceded in death by both of his parents, as well as his brothers Robert and Richard. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Vicki (Recker); Daughters, Jennifer Martinez (Philip) and Nicole Briscoe; Son, James Briscoe (Alicia); Grandchildren, Chelsea Hawes, Anna Hawes, Mikhail Briscoe and Bridgette Hawes; Sisters, Diane Doucette and Jayne Ficken (John) and numerous nieces and nephews.
