Jackie (Billmeyer) Kuhlman, aged 61, passed away suddenly on Saturday September 7, 2019 in Bellingham, Washington. A celebration of life is scheduled for mid October.
Jackie was born and grew up in Wenatchee, Washington. She treasured spending time with her family camping, fishing and laughing. She attended Wenatchee High School and graduated in 1977. She excelled in track and field and fast pitch throughout school.
Jackie moved to Bellingham in the late 1980’s with Michael Billmeyer. Together, they had two children who were Jackie’s proudest accomplishments. Jackie was her children’s best friends and she was their biggest fans. She was supportive and loving throughout their lives.
Despite moving away from Wenatchee, Jackie made a point to call and visit her family frequently. She always made sure everyone was taken care of. Jackie was a beloved lunch lady in the Bellingham School District for over twenty years. She took pride in her job and worked hard every day of her life. Jackie loved to read and garden. Jackie will be remembered for the persistent kindness and her enormous smile which lit up every room she entered.
Jackie is survived by her two children, Dustin and LeAnn, her parents Roger and Barbara Kuhlman, her sister Jerri Sauer and her ex-husband Michael Billmeyer. Jackie will be remembered as the world’s best lunch lady by thousands of people who attended schools across Bellingham and the world’s best friend, sister, daughter and mother by countless others.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019, 1:00 PM at Shuksan Middle School Cafeteria, 2717 Alderwood Avenue, Bellingham, Washington 98225
