Henrietta “Henny” Ten Kley, age 89, of Lynden formerly of Deming and Ferndale went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, August 26, 2012 in Bellingham. She was born August 8, 1923 in Edgerton, Minnesota to parents Henry and Marie (DeKruif) Veenhof. Henny married Marvin Ten Kley, September 10, 1942 in Edgerton, Minnesota. She loved gardening, both flowers and vegetables, canning, baking, sewing, camping and most of all spending time with her family. Henny was active at Good News Fellowship Church in Ferndale, women’s prayer groups and Bible studies. For many years at her home in Deming, Henny hosted Good News Clubs for children in the area. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, her son Michael D. Ten Kley, grandson, Joe Ten Kley and a infant great granddaughter.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years Marvin Ten Kley; children; Rod Ten Kley and wife Lori, Gary Ten Kley and wife Judy, Glen Ten Kley and wife Barbara, Marva Aase and husband Sig, Doug Ten Kley and wife Judy, daughter-in-law Cheri (Ten Kley) Johnson, 21 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren; sisters, Marie Bouwman, Minnie Ten Kley, Jane De Groot and Leona Kreun; brothers, Harris Salie and Nick Veenhof and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

The family would like to thank the Staff of Lynden Manor and the Whatcom Hospice House of Bellingham for the loving care they gave to Henny, it was greatly appreciated.

A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 1, 2012, at Ten Mile Cemetery followed by a celebration of Henny’s life at 12:30 PM at Good News Fellowship Church, 1252 W. Axton Rd., Ferndale, WA 98248.
