Helga M. Beilner

Helga M. Beilner, age 75, passed away peacefully at home Friday, August 17, 2012 in Ferndale.

She was born on March 14, 1937 in Erfurt, East Germany to Otto & Ilse (Kaffenberger) Schatz. She married Ernst Beilner in 1959 in Furt, West Germany and they immigrated to the U.S.A. in 1966 with their 3 daughters, Petra, Gabi and Gitti. Their two sons Michael and Daniel were born in Bellingham, Washington. They ran the Ferndale Bakery from 1973 to 1996. Helga enjoyed caring for her 11 grandchildren and was a great hostess, cook and baker for all who came to their house. She was involved in choir, German club, Bible studies and visiting those in need.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, August 25, 2012, 5:00 PM, Whatcom New Life Assembly, 2290 Main St., Ferndale, WA 98248, with Pastor Michael S. Rody officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 2901 Squalicum Pkwy, Bellingham, WA 98225.
