Gregory "Greg" D. Frombly

Gregory “Greg” D. Frombly, age 62, passed away at his home Saturday, November 10, 2012, peacefully in his sleep. Greg was born June 20, 1950 to parents Donald and Mable Frombly in Bellingham.

He was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County who graduated from Mt. Baker High School in 1968. Greg was a skilled carpenter and woodworker, an avid Biblical scholar, published author, football fanatic (Go Dawgs), enjoyed bicycling and photography and was a reading enthusiast; but the true beat of his heart was for his children and grandchildren whom he was extremely proud of.

Greg served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He spent time helping other veterans after their time of service.

Greg is now experiencing true freedom with Christ. Freedom that is beyond what he fought for here on earth. “There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” – Revelation 21:4b

He was preceded in death by father Donald Frombly, and is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Elizabeth (McClintock) Frombly, daughter Heather (Dan) Backstrom and sons Karl (Jennifer) Frombly and David (Jennifer) Frombly, 7 grandchildren Spencer, Allie and Carter Backstrom, Carly, Shannon, Gabriella and Olivia Frombly, Mother, Mable Frombly Sudduth. Sisters, Barbara (Ted) Kehl, Diane (Rick) Bruland, Brothers, Bill (Vicki) Sudduth, Richard (Virginia) Frombly and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held Monday, November 19, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Enterprise Cemetery located at 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA 98248, followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. at Living Water Fellowship Church located at 4767 Guide Meridian, Bellingham, WA 98226, with Pastor Ronny Davis officiating. As Greg was a war veteran who returned with wounds that took years to heal, the family suggests donations be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
