Glen Milton Hicks

Glen Milton (Bud) Hicks, passed away peacefully to be with our Lord on Monday, November 13, 2017 in Ferndale. He was the son of George and Jane Hicks. Glen is survived by his beloved wife Patti, children: Robert Teves Hicks, Joshua Glendyn Hicks, Cheryl, Steven, Brian, brothers and sister. Glen was born on August 28, 1927 in Nooksack, Washington. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. Glen was a man who was devout in his faith, honest, and dependable. Glen will fondly be remembered by his family and friends for his humorous stories, quiet, and deliberate manner. He worked on a fishing boat in Alaska, helped missionaries in Guatemala and designed and built several houses that his family lived in and enjoyed. Glen was a general contractor for 21 years and retired as a Whatcom County Building Inspector after 21 years of service. His children remember him for his love of good home cooking, music, singing, hiking, gardening, photography and his talent with the trombone. A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, November 21, 2017, 1:00 PM at Good News Fellowship Church, 1252 W. Axton Rd., Ferndale, WA 98248 with Pastor Tim Johnson officiating.
