Gerrit Ten Kley, Jr., age 100, of Lynden, Washington, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, in Bellingham, Washington. He was born Sept. 18, 1925, in Sioux Center, Iowa to parents Gerrit and Cora (Van Hofwegen) Ten Kley, Sr. Gerrit was preceded in death by his wife Marie, parents, two sisters and four brothers, his son Danny and his grandson Buddy. He is survived by his daughters Susan (Bud) Vaughan and Beth (Rick) Strotz; his son Lynn (Valerie)Ten Kley, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A celebration of his life will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday September 2, 2023, at Rome Community Bible Church, 2720 Mt. Baker Highway, Bellingham, WA 98226 and a private family graveside service with Military Honors was held at Hopewell Cemetery in Everson.
