Fayette Anne Farinha

Fayette Anne Farinha, age 82, of Bellingham passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013. Faye was born on May 15, 1931 in Rochester, NY and lived in Bellingham, WA her last 10 years. Faye was preceded in death by her brother Gilbert Case and is survived by her three children Karen Farinha Kelley, Michael and Eric Farinha, 5 grandchildren, Tonna, Chris, Mikel, Jon, Grayson and a great granddaughter McKenna.

Faye grew up in Rochester NY and had fond memories of her father Lester Case who died at the early age of 47. When finishing high school she joined the U.S. Air Force (communications) where she met her husband Aldo Farinha and father of her three children. She had various accomplishments during her lifetime that included studies at the University of Rochester NY, International Correspondence School, Kennel Management, Private Investigation, Knapp’s Business College, and Real Estate School. Faye was a devoted mother to her three children. Faye had a true love of all creatures but mostly of dogs and later cats. She never hesitated to take care of sick or injured pets. Faye had many talents. She loved cooking, art, and writing books. She wrote numerous short stories and had a book in process.

She will be remembered for her wit and distinct sense of humor. Her journey through life has finally taken her home. Faye leaves an empty place in our hearts and will be deeply missed.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Enterprise Cemetery, 7041 Vista Drive, Ferndale, WA, with Chaplain Ron Buchinski officiating. A reception to follow at Cedar Grove Park Clubhouse, 4915 Samish Way, Bellingham, WA. Family suggest donations be made to Whatcom Hospice Foundation, 2806 Douglas AV, Bellingham, WA 98225.
