Elmer Radke was born to Rudolph and Elsie Radke in Charles City, Iowa on May 1, 1929. At the age of 89 he peacefully passed from this life into the loving arms of his Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 25 at Whatcom Hospice House after a short and fast moving affliction. Elmer had many friends around the world and always was ready to help people. As an auto Salesman he enjoyed finding the "right" car for many people throughout the years. He worked at John F. Campbell, Mt. Baker Motors, Dewey Griffins and Radke Auto Sales. He was PTA president at North Bellingham Elementary School and one year served as Santa Claus. Serving God was very important to him. He served the church in many ways, on various boards, Sunday School Superintendent, greeter for years. He also was President of the Northwest Washington Holiness, Association (the Ferndale Camp) for 17 years. Elmer treasured our family, wife Darlene Patterson Radke for 65 years, sons; Steven (Andrea), Douglas (deceased), Gordon (Kim), Philip (Fran), grandchildren; Jeremy (Susan), Joshua (Jennifer), Aimee (Matt), Brianna, Theo, Kieann (Dan), Wyatt, Owen, Jordan (Kirsten), Jonny, Destaye and 18 great grandchildren. Elmer had fond memories of traveling, visiting family from coast to coast. We enjoyed many Cadillac and Buick Award trips and cruises, his favorite ones were the Southern Gospel Cruises. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. We look forward to a great reunion one of these days in Heaven that will last for all eternity. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, January 5, 2019, 11:00 AM, at North Cascades Christian Fellowship, 3800 Dana Road, Bellingham, WA. Memorials in Elmer's name maybe made to The Lighthouse Mission or North Cascade Christian Fellowship Bellingham Campus.
