Elizabeth Marie Wood

  A shining light has just passed, and our world has become a much dimmer place.

  Elizabeth Marie Wood, 13, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday September 9th, 2022. Elizabeth's short life was all about Love, happiness, kindness, and caring for the well being of others. A kind and gentle soul, she was greatly loved, and will be greatly missed by all who truly knew her.

  There were few activities that Elizabeth didn't find fun and interesting. She especially loved all her animals, art, music, bike rides, beach trips, hikes, playdates with friends, and holidays with her family. A student of Harmony Elementary and Mt. Baker Junior High, she touched and was touched by many wonderful teachers and staff members during her years there.

  By her nature, Elizabeth could not abide the meaness, cruelty, and intolerance that seems to run so rampant in our world today. She actively fought against it when she encountered it in others. And if she had one message to give - it would be to please be more kind, considerate and tolerant to others.

  Elizabeth was preceeded in death by her loving great grandpa Robert Hamilton. She is survived by her sister Emily Jean (Ace) McCracken, parents Jennifer and Craig Wood, great grandmothers Beverly Hamilton and Betty Holman, family Nicole McCracken and Randall Wood, numerous cousins, and many wonderful loving friends.

  At this time no memorial service is planned, but donations in Elizabeth's name may be made to Mad Hope, a local suicide prevention program for teens, in hopes that no other families should ever have to endure such a heartbreaking loss.

  Rest in peace our beautiful girl, we will all miss you.
