Elizabeth Louise Soderlund

Wife, Mom, Sister, Aunt and Friend,

Elizabeth Louise Soderlund was guided home by Jesus on Sunday, October 28,2012 with family by her side. She was born in Willmar, Minnesota on August 9, 1933. She married her Sweetheart David L. Soderlund on May 8, 1953.

She fought a long hard battle with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Congestive Heart Failure. Despite this, her heart had an overwhelming amount of love for everyone she knew right up to its last beat.

“Betty” was preceded in death by her parents, Gunnar and Emma, her brothers Charles, John, Lowell and sister Eleanor.

She is survived by her Loving and Devoted Husband of 59 years, David of Sandy Point, daughters, Carolyn Sherwin and husband Michael of Bellingham, Julie Cantwell and husband Tim of Snohomish and her precious 13 year old Grandson, Ryan James who was her ultimate Pride and Joy. She will also be missed very much by her sister Juanita Strootman and husband Dennis of Stanwood.

Little Toby “aka Grandma’s Boy” their Chihuahua/Pomeranian mix who was adopted from Whatcom Humane Society, will miss “Grandma” too as they were inseparable.

She will be missed by many relatives in different states, but mostly Minnesota, and many treasured friends in Washington. A service at 11:00 AM, with a luncheon at 12:00 Noon, for Elizabeth will be on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Christ Lutheran Church, 5904 Vista Drive, Ferndale, Washington. The family requests no flowers please.
