Eileen Ann Theisen

Eileen Ann (Dodd) Theisen passed away November 10, 2016 at her home surrounded by family, she was 69.

Eileen was born to Ted and Lena (Colombrino) Dodd, one of five children. Eileen grew up around Lake Whatcom. Like her father, she attended Silver Beach and continued on to Bellingham High School where she took honors courses. After graduating she attended Bellingham Technical College where she received her degree in Accounting. Eileen traveled to Hawaii, enjoyed her work and bought a brand new mustang.

Eileen came from a large family and though she was the baby of the family, she always had a way with children. More than one fussy child had been lulled off to sleep in her arms. Eileen met and fell in love with Arnold Theisen. She became a devoted housewife and had three beautiful, strong children.

Eileen had always been a caretaker and advocate. Her powerful love and stick-to-it-ness always provided comfort to her family and friends alike. She volunteered her time for the PTA, Nooksack Valley Band Boosters, and the Forestry Association. In the past several years, she'd been enjoying retirement by helping in her sons' business and keeping her husband out-and-about with friends and family.

Eileen was predeceased by her parents, Ted and Lena Dodd, her sisters, Alice Walton, Delores Lloyd and Beverly Jean Dodd. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Arnold Theisen, children Aaron Theisen (Mandy), Erica (Craig) Simons, and Adam (Heidi) Theisen, Grandchildren Andy, Tyler, Vincent, Alex, Lino, Morgan, Audree, Jacob, Ari and Lily, brother Kenneth Dodd and wife Judy, brothers-in-law Connard Walton and George Lloyd. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
