Edward Donald Hildebrand

Edward Donald Hildebrand passed away October 23, 2017.  He was born in Salix Iowa, March 7, 1929.  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Irene Hildebrand, also three brothers, Bernard, Russell and Vincent; two sisters, Doris Syverson and Mary Isbell Shoemaker. He is survived by his wife Jane Hildebrand and children, Jeffrey Hildebrand, Molly Ann Hammar and Patricia Lynn Vezzetti, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  Ed was a farmer at heart, he loved to grow things. He liked his days on the farm, milking cows and putting up hay. Ed was employed by Wights Marine Services where he became Senior Executive Director of Ship Repairs and retired after 20 years of employment.  Ed served in the U.S. Army five years during Korean War.  He was friends with everyone he met and had a quick smile and laugh.  He would do anything to help anybody especially his family. A funeral mass will be offered by Father Scott Connolly, Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, 10:30 AM at Church of the Assumption, 2116 Cornwall AV, Bellingham, WA 98225 with Burial following with Military Honors at Bayview Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
