Edna Louise Kyllingmark

Edna Louise Kyllingmark, age 95, was ushered into the glorious presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 3:25 PM.  She was at her home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was born March 24, 1925 to Alma (Herigstad) and Edwin Hanson.  Edna was the eldest of seven siblings.

She grew up and spent most of her life in the Custer/Ferndale area.  In her mid-twenties the Lord drew her into personal saving relationship with her Lord Jesus Christ at an old-time tent meeting.

On November 30th, 1951 Edna married Filiph Kyllingmark and together they raised four children; Felix, Renae, Darlis and Kevin.  They also parented a beloved foster son, Sonny and other foster children.  One of Edna’s greatest satisfactions in life was knowing her children knew and loved Jesus.

To many she is remembered for her delicious cookies and pies and her wonderful lefsa.  To her children and family, she is remembered as a devoted and loving wife and mother whose greatest joy was to serve her Lord, her family and the church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Alma and Edwin Hanson, her husband Filiph and by her brother Ervin Hanson, sister Lorene Erikson, brother in-laws Doug Erikson and Jim Lunde and sister in-law Diana Hanson.

Edna is survived by her sons Felix (Olena) and Kevin (Kari) by her daughters Renae (Alton) Lowry and Darlis (Timothy) Blomquist and foster son Sonny Morris; grandchildren, Tracy, Trevor, Kimberly, Matthew, Andrew, Randy, Taylor and Jeromy; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kassandra, Johnathon, Brooklynn, Tyler, Caleb, Jasmine and Norah Grace (expected February 5th of 2021); sisters, Arlene Lunde, Rosalie (Clary) Jensen; brothers Lester (Anna Marie) and Donald Hanson, sister in-law Elaine Hanson and nieces and nephews too numerous to name.

There will be a public viewing from 9:00-10:30 AM, Monday, November 23, 2020 at Cornerstone Community Church at 5732 Olson Rd in Ferndale, WA followed by a graveside service at Enterprise Cemetery at 11:00 AM and then a worship service honoring Edna and our Lord at Cornerstone Community Church at 12:00 PM.

The family would like to express our love and appreciation to Edna’s care givers over these last months; Deedee, Grace, Emma and Taylor.
