Donna Jean Van Wingerden

Donna Jean Van Wingerden, 94, passed away peacefully in her own home on Friday, January 28, 2022.  Jean was a life-long resident of Bellingham, growing up and residing in the Silver Beach neighborhood.  She was preceded in death by her husband Warren.  She is survived by her four children: Walter Van Wingerden of Bellingham, Sandra Woeppel of Arizona, Kristine Bowen of Montana, and Leta Butterworth of Georgia.  Jean was a grandmother to seven, a great grandmother to seventeen, and great-great grandmother to seven.  She will be sorely missed by her family and many friends.

Jean was a Bellingham High School graduate.  She was active in school functions when her children were young, acting as P.T.A. president for several years, being a Cub Scout den Mother and master kept her busy. 

Jean was employed at Bornstein’s Seafoods for many years.  She also enjoyed many years bowling on a league with great friends.  Her birthday clubs were a great source of pleasure.  Sharing her love of games and cards always brought joy to her life.

May she rest in peace knowing she was a loving mother and true friend to many.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Greenacres Cemetery.
