Donna Jean Dragates

Donna Jean Dragates, age 76, of Bellingham passed away Sunday, January 5, 2014 surrounded by her family. Donnie (Nee) was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Carl L. and Wilma (Kirkman) Phillips. Donna and husband George were avid campers, initially on their boat in the San Juan Islands then eventually becoming land-lovers and switching to their motorhome. Donna always had an open door and fridge for friends and family. She loved hosting gatherings for the Holidays, game nights, and summer bon fires. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband of 44 years, George Dragates, and brothers Richard, Daniel, William and James Phillips. She is survived by sisters Mary Benson and Verga Whittaker as well as numerous nieces and nephews. At her request no public services will be held.
