Donald Arthur Williams

“Anytime, anywhere, always ready, always there.”

Donald Arthur Williams, age 54, of Blaine, Washington, passed away at his home on Monday July 1, 2013. He was born on October 7, 1958, in Oak Harbor, Washington

Growing up in a military family, Don traveled and lived all over the United States. After high school he entered the U.S. Navy and served approximately 6 years on the U.S. Mt. Vernon as a Radio Mechanic 2ndclass.

Don met his wife Teresa in Bellingham in 1987 at a bowling alley. They married in April of 1988 and later had three children. He was an avid Blaine sports fan and loved to attend football, baseball and softball games as a parent or just a spectator. He spent many summers umpiring youth baseball at Pipeline fields. He was a great mentor but most of all was a great father.

Don lived to watch his kids play sports and watching his kids grow up was a great source of pride. It was never about himself but always about others. He loved spending time with his friends and family. He was especially close to his nieces and nephews and was proud of the way they grew up.

He held many different occupations, but put his all in everything he did and prided himself in a job well done.

He was preceded in death by his mother Suzanne Ellyson, sister,Tonia Burk and Uncle Clyde Ellyson and Grandmother Vivianne Ellyson.

He is survived by his wife Teresa, son Raymond (Jennifer) and daughters Elizabeth and Margaret, brother Fred and sister Linda.

The “Donald A. Williams donation fund” has been set up at Whatcom Educational Credit Union.

A memorial service is pending.
